Traverse City Web Design had the privilege of designing and building a beautiful, mobile-friendly website for Leelanau Christian Neighbors, one of Northern Michigan’s most important community support organizations.
Located in Lake Leelanau, Leelanau Christian Neighbors serves individuals and families throughout Leelanau County with compassion, dignity, and practical help. Their work includes providing free food through the LCN Food Pantry, offering baby supplies through the Baby Pantry, helping neighbors through short-term financial assistance, and supporting the broader community through programs such as Samaritans’ Closet and other local outreach efforts.
For many people in Leelanau County, LCN is more than a charity. It is a safety net. When groceries are difficult to afford, when utility bills become overwhelming, or when a family needs a little help getting through a hard season, Leelanau Christian Neighbors is there.
Their food pantry provides canned and dry goods, fresh produce, and meat to people in need, while their financial assistance program helps with essential needs such as utilities, fuel, and other emergency support.
Our goal for the website was to create an online presence that reflected the warmth, clarity, and usefulness of the organization itself. The site needed to be easy to navigate, simple to update, and accessible for people looking for help, hoping to donate, or wanting to learn more about LCN’s impact in the community.
The finished website gives Leelanau Christian Neighbors a clean, welcoming, mobile-friendly platform where visitors can quickly find information about food pantry hours, donation needs, financial assistance, volunteer opportunities, community events, and ways to support the organization.
For a nonprofit doing this much important work, the website has to do more than look good. It has to help people take action.
